Frequently asked questions
How far can a point-to-point link reliably cover?
It depends on line-of-sight, terrain, and the equipment used — anywhere from a few hundred feet between buildings to several miles with the right hardware and clear line-of-sight. We'll assess your specific site during the survey.
Is this meant to be permanent or temporary?
Either. Point-to-point wireless is commonly used as a fast temporary bridge until permanent fiber is trenched, but it can also serve as permanent connectivity where running cable isn't practical long-term.
What happens if the site layout changes?
Links can be re-aimed or relocated as needed — this is one of the advantages over trenched cable, which is fixed once installed.
